ABOUT US

OUR MISSION

  To empower youth through personalized tutoring and mentorship while supporting their families with essential resources. We are dedicated to fostering growth, resilience, and opportunity within underserved communities, creating a foundation for brighter, healthier, educated, and empowered futures through compassionate care and guidance. 

OBJECTIVE

The objective of Tutelage Incorporated is to provide direct assistance and referral services to low-income families. Tutelage will provide health and wellness seminars, physical fitness and sports programs, academic tutoring, career mentoring, and interview training, coupled with reduced fee services and free haircuts for the community. Tutelage is dedicated to providing a safe environment where children and young adults can develop life skills and academically excel.

OUR HISTORY

Tutelage Inc. is a registered 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization founded in 2024 by two concerned men that saw the need to give back to the community through education, mentoring, and community service. Free tutoring, and mentoring are the organization's pillars. 

Our Team

Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Anthony Waul

Dr. Anthony Waul is the CEO of Tutelage Inc., bringing over three decades of expertise in tutoring, mentoring, and academic leadership. With a robust background in Systems and Software Engineering, he has devoted his career to equipping students and professionals with the tools to succeed through education and mentorship.


Dr. Waul earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, where he also joined the esteemed Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. He went on to obtain a Master’s in Information Systems, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration and Management from Touro University California.


Anchored by the principle that “hard work beats talent that doesn’t work hard,” Dr. Waul continues to drive the mission of Tutelage Inc. forward—empowering learners to reach their full potential through dedication and guidance.


President & Founder, Jonathan Davis

 Jonathan Davis is a visionary leader with an unwavering passion for education, mentorship, and youth empowerment. As the President and Founder of Tutelage Inc., Jonathan combines his love for tutoring and academic development with his unique experience in mentoring young boys through barbering—a craft he used not only to build confidence but also to spark meaningful conversations and life lessons.


Driven by a desire to create safe, supportive spaces where young people can grow intellectually and personally, Jonathan launched Tutelage Inc. to merge hands-on mentorship with educational excellence. His commitment to uplifting youth through both learning and leadership continues to inspire the heart and mission of the organization.


Chair, Board of Directors, Dahnisha Hannah

Dahnisha Hannah is a purpose-driven leader with a strong foundation in education, business, and community impact. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Shaw University and brings a diverse range of certifications in Child Growth and Development, Lesson Planning, Marketing Strategy for Entrepreneurs, Coaching, Training, Speaking, Teaching, and more.


Dahnisha is the Founder & Chief Strategist of Done With Dots, a coaching and consulting agency that bring transformation, impact and results. Additionally,she holds a professional background that spans marketing, sales, operations, coaching, organizational development, and strategic planning, Dahnisha offers a holistic perspective on leadership and growth. As Chair of the Board at Tutelage Inc., she champions the organization’s mission to Mentor, Motivate, and Master by aligning strategy with service and empowering others to reach their full potential.


Dahnisha is a member of The John Maxwell Team, and also an esteemed member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, reflecting her lifelong commitment to sisterhood, scholarship, and service. Her passion for mentoring and community-building continues to shape her impactful leadership at Tutelage Inc.

Vice Chair, Board of Directors, Damon Jones

Damon Jones is a seasoned educator and transformational leader with over 28 years of experience in public education. His diverse career includes roles as a classroom teacher, school administrator, grant specialist, and currently, a Professional Development Specialist for Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS). 


He is also a certified Gallup Strengths Coach, offering leadership development and team-building support to executive teams within PGCPS and local organizations such as the Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Department.


Passionate about the development of the whole child, Damon advocates for a well-rounded approach that nurtures students’ intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth. His leadership spans instructional excellence and strategic operations, consistently driving impactful change in schools and communities. As Vice Chair of the Board at Tutelage Inc., Damon brings his commitment to equity, empowerment, and educational transformation to every initiative he supports.

Director of Operations & Administration, Lucky Holloway

Lucky Holloway brings extensive experience in operational leadership and administrative management to her role as Director of Operations and Administration at Tutelage Inc. 


In her professional career, she has demonstrated a strong ability to manage high-level projects, streamline executive processes, and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and clients alike.


Currently, Lucky serves as a key liaison between Boards of Directors, executive teams, and staff—ensuring clear communication, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic alignment. Her strengths in coordinating complex initiatives and supporting organizational priorities have consistently made her a vital contributor to mission-driven work.


At Tutelage Inc., Lucky oversees daily operations and administrative functions with precision and care. Her commitment to excellence, structure, and impactful execution supports the organization’s mission to mentor, motivate, and master—while helping to drive meaningful results at every level.


Treasurer, Steve Twyman

Steve Twyman, a proud Washington, D.C. native, serves as Treasurer of Tutelage Inc., bringing over two decades of entrepreneurial and financial expertise to the organization. A seasoned real estate professional and serial entrepreneur, Steve is the founder of numerous successful ventures, including Mortgage Experts, Marketing Cady,  Cannalife, Sonic Tax Services, Abroad Lifestyles, and Vision Quest 2.0.


With a strong foundation in Business Administration from the University of the District of Columbia and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Steve pairs his business acumen with a passion for community engagement and mentorship.


 He is actively involved in his church, several professional organizations—including NAMB, WREBA, and Toastmasters—and is known for his commitment to service and financial integrity.A devoted husband, father, and man of faith, Steve lives by the mantra, “I can do all things through Christ.” 


Secretary, Katheryn Garcia

Katheryn Garcia serves as the Secretary of Tutelage Inc., bringing a deep passion for equity, access, and community empowerment to the organization. 


Currently working as a Women’s Health Program Coordinator at a nonprofit clinic in Prince George’s County, she oversees grants that support vital services such as family planning, prenatal care, and infant wellness.


Pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Social Work, Katheryn is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Maryland Community Health Worker (CHW). Her professional and academic journey is driven by a strong commitment to education and culturally responsive mentorship—shaped in part by her own experience as a first-generation college student and former tutor.


A proud Salvadoran woman, Katheryn blends lived experience with strategic insight and a heart for service. Her leadership and dedication help ensure that Tutelage Inc. remains rooted in purpose and responsive to the needs of the communities it serves.


Outreach Coordinator, Cassandra Best

Cassandra is a community-focused professional with over 20 years of experience as a medical assistant and phlebotomist, and five years as a dedicated yoga instructor. Her career has been defined by a deep commitment to caring for others—whether supporting patients in clinical settings or guiding individuals toward physical and emotional wellness through yoga.


Passionate about empowering and uplifting others, especially youth, Cassandra brings a heart-centered approach to all she does. She leads with compassion, listens with intention, and strives to create meaningful connections that foster trust and growth. Her work as a yoga instructor has deepened her understanding of mindfulness and mental well-being—tools she integrates into her community work to support healing, resilience, and self-discovery.


Cassandra is devoted to cultivating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported. Through mentorship, education, and service, she continues to make a positive impact, helping individuals unlock their potential and thrive.

Definition of Bullying:

Bullying is defined as any behavior that intimidates, harasses, demeans, or causes harm to another individual, whether intentional or repeated. This includes, but is not limited to:


  • Verbal abuse, such as teasing, threats, or name-calling
  • Physical aggression, such as hitting, pushing, or inappropriate touching
  • Emotional harm, such as exclusion, spreading rumors, or manipulation
  • Cyberbullying, such as harmful messages or posts shared online


Our Commitment:

  • All reports of bullying will be taken seriously and investigated promptly.
  • Individuals engaging in bullying behavior will face appropriate actions, which may include removal from the program or organization.
  • We are dedicated to promoting kindness, empathy, and understanding in all interactions.
