How It Works

A Step- By-Step Overview

At Tutelage Inc., we believe every child deserves access to high-quality educational support — and we’ve made the process simple, organized, and impactful for students, families, and volunteers.  When the Tutelage Team connects with you directly, you’ll begin the process outlined below:

Step 1: Submit Paperwork & Complete Background Checks

  • Tutors & Mentors: Must complete and submit all onboarding paperwork and pass a required background check.
  • Parents/Guardians: Must submit all registration forms and consent documents for their child to participate in the program.

*Please email all completed forms and authorizations to info@Tutelageinc.com.

Step 2: Student Assessment, Match & Tentative Scheduling Once all documentation is received, Parents will receive a link via email for their child to complete the assessment.

Once all documentation is received:

  • Students are assessed, matched with a tutor and/or mentor based on subject needs and availability.
  • Each student will receive a tentative tutoring schedule based on the availability of their assigned tutor or mentor.
  • Tutoring session format (in-person or virtual) will be determined based on the resources and availability of the assigned volunteer.

Step 3: Virtual Meet & Greet (5–10 Minutes)

Before tutoring officially begins:

Tutors/Mentors, Students, and Parents will join a quick virtual introduction meeting to meet one another, say hello, and confirm the schedule.

 Step 4: Welcome Day Event

All participants are invited to our Tutelage Inc. Welcome Day, which includes:

Light refreshments, music, and games

A chance to build community and excitement!

This one-hour event is typically held after school hours, and attendance is encouraged for students, parents, and volunteers.

 Program Duration & Time Commitment

Tutoring & mentoring sessions are limited to two (2) hours per week per student — no exceptions.

To ensure fair access to all families, each child will participate in the program for one month at a time.

Families are welcome to re-enroll after their month ends by joining the waitlist on our website.

⏰ Punctuality Matters

Respecting everyone’s time and availability is a top priority. Please arrive on time for all sessions to ensure students receive the full support and guidance they need.If you have any questions or need help navigating the process, don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re here to support you every step of the way!
